Educational leaders can use action research for many different reasons from classroom management to administrator problem solutions.

A couple of examples may be:  Determining the best route to bring up sagging scores for standardized testing.  Finding out a common thread in discipline to help better address the needs of the students and teachers.  Self analysis or teacher analysis on job performance.

Whatever the case, in education the case can be made to use action research.
